How do the three differ?
- Domain: the site name you own, such as yourshop.com. Print it on business cards or your shop sign. Renewed yearly.
- Subdomain: a name under someone else's domain, such as yourshop.hostinglotus.cloud. Free with every Bua Family account.
- SSL: the encryption key that makes the browser show a padlock and "Secure" instead of "Not secure". Customers trust it, and Google likes it.
Is the free subdomain good enough for real use?
Yes. yourname.hostinglotus.cloud is a real link with SSL that you can send to customers immediately. It suits the early days, pages shared on LINE or Facebook, or any site where the brand name does not need to be in the URL.
When should I get my own domain?
When you print the address on business cards, signs or ads, and when you want customers to remember and search for your brand. Every paid plan supports your own domain. Registration is billed separately.

Why does a self-built site say "Not secure"?
Because SSL is missing or incomplete. Doing it yourself means DNS settings, regular renewals and correct server configuration. Bua Family automates all of it. Press Publish and the site shows "Secure" from the first second.
What is DNS, and do I have to set it up?
DNS is the phone book that maps a domain name to a server. On the free subdomain you never touch it. When connecting your own domain, the team sends you the settings to enter and helps on LINE if you get stuck.
Where are the servers, and is my data safe?
In Thailand, so sites load fast for Thai customers. Automatic daily backups. Your data belongs to you and is never sold or shared. See the privacy policy.
